Bhopal (MahaMedia): “Astrology is a complete science in itself but the seekers of astrology are not serious in learning about it. At present, there are many small centers of astrology education and consultancy in the country, but they lack standard and reputation, there is a need for a large and reputable center from where proper education and complete information can be given on all subjects.” The above statement is given by Brahmachari Girish Ji, Chancellor, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic University, addressing a group of Astrologers present in “Maharishi Jyotish Panchang Shodh Sammelan” today on March 29 in the auditorium at Maharishi Vedic Cultural Center, Sai board, Arera Colony, Bhopal.

The above programme was organized by Jyotish Math Sansthan, Bhopal with the help of Directorate of Culture, MP Government in collaboration with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Organisation. In this programme, thoughts were kept by all the knowledgeable astrologers on “Astrology Science in Personality Development, Vedic Festival and Astrology Formulas”. An idea was mainly conceived by all the speakers in the programme, under which efforts were made to try to find such solutions, as to remove the difference in dates (Tithi) and festivals in the different types of almanacs (Panchaang) that are being published in the country. Brahmachari Girish Ji explained in his exhortation that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji has organised a lot promotion of Jyotish worldwide and Astrology research. He desired that there should be a center of a Astrology in the country where there is a system of complete research and giving proper education. Brahmachari Girish Ji said to the Astrologers present, "Maharishi Ji had told that about 500 years ago there was a work of purification of Astrology, which now needs to be re-done. In this work, 10 to 12 Astrologers will have to research for about one year. Researches will be re-approved for next 400 to 500 years. The Maharishi institute urges you all that whoever scholars want to give their support to this work, come forward and for their help, Maharishi Institute will discharge its obligation to arrange all the resources and facilities.” Brahmachari Girish Ji also said that through this institute work for the world peace and welfare will also be done on the basis of astrology. Under this, by making the horoscopes of all the nations, through their study, we will be known to the extent of which calamity is going to come, and that calamity will be removed by doing Yagyanushthan as per Vedic procedures. In this work, about 7 thousand Vedic scholars who are presently trained by the Maharishi Vedic Vidyapeeth will play their role efficiently. He requested the Astrological scholar to take the resolution that they all should support in this work.

Speakers present in the conference said collectively that there should be uniformity in the Panchang publishing in the entire country, so that all Vedic festivals can be celebrated on same day and same time throughout the country to create larger coherence in collective consciousness. Nearly 150 Astrological scholars from various corners of the country participated in the programme and kept their views freely on the subject. Apart from Brahmachari Girish Ji, Pandit Ayodhya Prasad Gautam, Founder of Jyotish Math, CBI Judge, Justices. Several Astrologers including C. Upadhyay, Pandit Vishnu Rajauria, famous Bhagwat legend Dr. Nilimp Tripathi, Jyotish Peeth's director Pandit Vinod Gautam, Ram Kishore Vaidik, Pandit Dhanesh Prapnacharya, Pandit Dubey, Maharaj Vaibhav Bhatele, Ramababu Sharma have expressed their views. On this occasion, Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group Director CPR V. R. Khare was also present.
